When to Visit
Weather is always a consideration when choosing when to visit a tropical island Oahu has many different sub-climates but in general from mid-November through March, it is around 80°F during the day. The summer months the high temperature reaches the mid to high 80's. As far as rain, that's what makes all the waterfalls and the beautiful sloping green mountains. Hawaii's rain showers usually don't last all day.
To reach the island, you will fly into Honolulu International Airport (HNL). If you are staying in Waikiki, you will need to arrange for a bus ($2.50) or taxi ($40.00) to the hotels, but from there you can reach pretty much anything you want to do by using their public transit system called “The Bus.” In order to truly experience Oahu, rent a car for a day and take a road trip around the island and visit all the beautiful beaches.
